FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Philly Loves Design
Philadelphia will host for the second year in a row the most progressive design in Pennsylvania at Philly Heart Design, a show showcasing the work of local, up and coming design talent. Produced and curated by Jaime and Isaac Salm of MIO and Alexandra Schmidt-Ullrich, “Philly Heart Design” is a welcome addition to Philadelphia’s annual design celebration “Design Philadelphia” now in its fourth year.

“Philly Heart Design” is the only exhibition of its kind highlighting new work by Pennsylvania’s growing design community. In an effort to broaden interest in design in Philadelphia, the event is free of charge to participants and the public. The exhibition will feature work selected from hundreds of submissions by local designers, as well as new products by MIO. Isaac Salm (one of the producers) believes that the success of this exhibition relies on its simple goal of getting non-designers involved. His brother Jaime is quick to point out that “The selected pieces are fun and unpretentious in an effort to democratize design and invite everyone to celebrate and enjoy design.”

About Philly Heart Design
Philly Heart Design is a free venue for the exhibition of the freshest designers in Pennsylvania. The selected work will be on display at The Rotunda @ The University of Pennsylvania (http://www.therotunda.org). The show will feature product, graphic and interactive design in an immersive environment.
