Puzzlebox is a jazz octet born out of bassist/composer Keith DeStefano’s need to give realization to his musical explorations. A fusion of traditional, third stream, progressive, and avant garde jazz, it’s a group that’s steadily gaining notice. The band was featured in September 2010 issue of DownBeat and their second CD A Place To Be was praised by the Philadelphia Inqirer’s Karl Stark for music that, ” often creates a sizzle that ignites his soloists,” and called, “the sleeper gem of the year,” by David Adler - Philadelphia Weekly.
Truth & Consequence Sextet Concert, featuring music from fresh the Subito Grant funded “Metamorphosis Series” and their most recent release “October”. David Adler says ” Peterson will summon a wealth of textural subtlety, rhythmic juice, bluesy bite and formal adventurism”.
