Zeke Peterhoff's Your Uncle Sam
An American Vaudeville Celebration
"Peterhoff's Your Uncle Sam" is a first person, unabashedly patriotic, salute to our American Spirit presented by America's oldest citizen. It is intended to honor our shared 235 year history and to clarify the inspirations which helped produce our patriarchal mythical figure.
As I myself have been a theatre clown and teacher of clowns for over forty years, I am particularly interested in having the 19th century clown, Dan Rice, whose beard and costume are the visual foundation of Uncle Sam's appearance publicly acknowledged. This show, a solo tour d' force, has been in development since 1999 and is also a vaudeville revue and a clown show continuously peppered throughout with, circus, music, magic and movement arts.
